SOLD Bess 18thC English Wooden Doll

This is Bess.
A beautiful example of an English wooden doll from the 3rd quarter of the 18thC. Around 1760-70.
She is 17 inches tall.
She retains her original paintwork overall with some old minor touch ups around the mouth area.
Her arms and legs look to be original although there have been repairs to the tops of the legs .
Her long human hair wig is fixed . It is certainly very old hard to know if this is original.
She wears the most wonderful 18thC Spitalfield silk outfit which is fabulous and a treasure in its self.
She has an incredible presence .
