SOLD Very Rare 18thC Pocket Watch Sampler

This wonderful example depicts an 18thC soldier, beautifully embroidered in silk.

Sampler itself is just over 4 cm diameter.
I suspect this may have decorated the interior of a ladies pocket watch to remind her of her sweetheart.
The little sampler is set in a lovely early 19thC brass frame.
A most wonderful item to display in an early dolls house.
