This is a fabulous piece of early 18thC embroidery.
Although some of the original silk has melted away the silk work embroidery remains in really superb condition, probably down to the hessian backing which is strong.
The quality of stitching and the bright vibrant colours of the silk thread are a joy to behold.
Measures 6 inches wide by 4 inches deep.
