A rare example of a miniature carving set into a walnut shell.
Dating from the 19thC.
I am not sure what the carving is made from. It is a very hard substance, feels a little like bone.
On one side of the shell there is a Georgian house with a lady stoodin front, on the other side a castle or church.
Some minor losses to foliage.
