This is an extremely rare set of miniature silver flat ware dating from the mid to late 18thC. I can honestly say we have never come across such an early set as this in such a tiny size.
The longest spoon measures 3cm, the knifes and forks are just over 2cm, the beautifully constructed mahogany tray is 3.5cm by 3cm.
The knifes have tiny steal blades with silver handles in the early cannon shape. The forks are of the early two pronged style again a mixture of iron/ steel with silver handles. The spoons and fully silver.
There are no hallmarks present however there would of been no requirement for hallmarks on something so small dating from this period. It is there for hard to say weather they are Dutch or silver in origin.
The overall condition is good, the iron or steel knife blades and fork prongs do show some deterioration due to there age.
This is a most wonderful set to add to an early house.
