SOLD Early 18thC Embroidered Silk Circular Fragment

This product is currently unavailable
This is an absolutely fabulous piece of early 18thC embroidery undoubtedly taken from a larger item.
Embroidered on silk with hessian backing, the fragment has also been backed with felt at a later date to give it strength.
This item makes a lovely rug in an early dolls house. Although much of the silk has melted the embroidery remains string and bright due to the hessian backing.
This really is a lovely early piece. Measures 8" diameter.
