A very nice 18thC coiff cap in small size, possibly made for a child or a doll.
I have shown this on my large english wooden Eliza (she is 27 inches tall),
the cap does sit on the back of her hair, which is where a coiff cap was worn.
Made from a lovely fine striped silk which is finely stitched along each stripe.
Overall condition is very good .
Edged with gold metallic lace and lined with muslin.
