A Very beautiful early lady. Verity Ann is a 15 inch tall grodnertal dating from around 1820.
She came to me some time ago and came with her name and much of her belongings. I did add a couple of bits which will all stay with her.
This gorgeous doll is 15 inches tall which is a great size for a doll of this type.
She has a beautifully painted face with delicate wisps and curls around her face. She has a gold tuckcomb and she retains her original earrings.
Her face is in good original condition with no cracking peeling or repaint.
Her sturdy fully jointed body is also in good original condition with no damage.
She wears a wonderful Regency outfit with elaborate petticoat under a muslin overskirt with aqua silk spencer. She has a fine laws blouse which she can wear under her spencer if she wants her arms covered. When relaxing at home she has a gorgeous housecoat made from a wonderful 18thC gold and purple silk woven fabric, the ribbons I feel have been added at some point in its life, the originals probably melted.
She has 2 silk poke bonnets in classic regency style, they are lovely and retain original ribbon decoration.
She has a white cotton regency bonnet for less formal attire.
She has various other items including a 19thC silk parasol with bone handle, a set of rosary beads, some scissors, a small 18thC straw work box, a tiny watch and a lovely early silk reticule.
All her items come housed in a lovely early box.
