SOLD Rare Collection of 18thC Miniature Silhouettes

This is an extremely rare and interesting collection of miniature silhouettes dating from around 1780.
These are reverse painted on glass and would have had a mirrored edging which has mainly deteriorated.
Each measures 2 inches diameter.
They depict 7 members of the same family each with their initials beneath.
Each silhouette sits in a wooden frame, some damage to the edges of the frames but this does not detract.
They make a stunning display in an early dolls house.
A very rare find.
