A very rare and unusual parian sewing doll dating from around 1860.
This lovely doll had a delightfully painted parian face with blonde hair and moulded snood. She has parian lower arms and legs with flat black painted boots.
She wears her original outfit which is adorned with numerus sewing accessories of the period. Including two leather bags containing needle packets, a leather barrel under her arm containing pin cushion and thread. Tiny scissors needle holder and crochet thread sit in her pockets. And she comes with a pin cushion basket which has deteriorated a tad.
She is 8" tall and comes on her own stand.
A beautiful and early doll to add to any collection.
