A really superb example of an 18thC miniature beeswax doll.
He is 5.5 inches tall.
He has a wonderfully modelled head with incredible detail and tiny black glass eyes.
His hands look to be carved wood covered in gesso.
His legs and wonderful green boots are I think composition.
He wears his original red silk outfit decorated with metallic trim.
His condition is superb for his age.
A very rare little man indeed.
